Kyana’s industrial/organizational psychology practice specializes in human capital consulting needs such as recruitment & retention, board development, corporate governance, strategic planning, organizational effectiveness and waste elimination. She previously served clients in several industries, primarily the technology industry. Her interest in personnel selection derives from her experience as an independent consultant for such clients as the Baltimore City Chamber of CommerceDigit All SystemsCGC Technologies, and a host of Baltimore City Council, Mayoral, and other candidates for public office. She advocates using applied research in practitioner settings. 

Kyana, the principal of Leverage, LLC, is a Coppin State University alumna. She is currently researching "Person - Environment Fit & the Validity of Other Personnel Selection Criteria" for her Master’s Capstone through service at Fields Consulting Group in McLean, Virginia. She has submitted research to the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychologists and the Academy of Management Review.
